About our School:
The College of Engineering & Engineering Technology (CEET) at Northern Illinois University develops adaptable, problem solvers capable and ready to solve the challenges of a dynamic and quickly changing world. Our students not only focus in the classroom, but also spend time working inside our many laboratories, where they learn to apply the complicated principles they learn in the classroom. This prepares each student for internship and research projects that most often translate to job opportunities immediately upon graduation.
What we do!
The Society of Manufacturing Engineers Chapter S210 is a student chapter committed to keeping its members networking with professionals, up to date with the latest manufacturing technologies, and utilizing manufacturing design/application skills in team projects. We accomplish this by providing students with Field Trips, Workshops, guest Speakers from the industry, and Projects for Competitions. Through our parent chapter, Chapter V, we directly network with manufacturing engineers in the Chicago-land area, providing students with the best chance of future employment in the industry.
